大陸民眾想發財真的想瘋了。Google公佈關鍵字排行發現，當全球多數國家以「性」（sex）為最熱門關鍵字時，中國大陸民眾卻向「錢」看，「股票」和「招商銀行」、「工商銀行」和「建設銀行」等關鍵字名列前矛，「性」被排除在十名之外。
Google中國日前公佈二○○七年使用頻率最高的搜索關鍵字，結果「股票」名列第四名，三家上市銀行「招商銀行」、「工商銀行」和「建設銀行」分居二、三、六名，原因除了這三家銀行為上市公司而受到關注外，也可能因為三家銀行的網路銀行用戶眾多。
其中，名列第一名的關鍵字是「QQ」。它是大陸相當受到歡迎的即時通訊軟體，同時也是知名的國產車名稱，二者合一，使其在關鍵字排行上奪魁。其他入榜前十名的還有「遊戲」（第五）、「Google地球」（第七）和兩種熱門掃毒軟體「迅雷」」（第八）、「卡巴斯基」」（第九）。熱門通訊軟體「MSN」名列第十。
與其他國家調查最大的差異，是與「性」有關的關鍵字都不在中國的熱門榜單內。Google去年十月的調查顯示，「sex」是全球使用頻率最高的關鍵字，即使在土耳其、埃及和印度等地都高居第一，而與「性」有關的詞彙如「同性戀」、「愛」、「威而鋼」等，也是各國的熱門關鍵字。
在台灣方面，反映出另一種情況，即物價上漲讓消費者錙銖必較。根據Google台灣稍早公布的結果，王建民、色戒、中古車、廢電腦資源回收等居前列；根據Yahoo!奇摩稍早公布的人氣關鍵字排名，租屋、網頁設計、民宿、星光幫、二手車、吃到飽等等，則是台灣人最熱衷查詢的事物。
這份Google中國關鍵字排行榜「重財輕色」，除顯示大陸民眾去年沉浸於投資理財熱浪中，可能也與中國網路警察近年加強查緝網路色情有關。
此外，Google中國推出的「求知榜」中，最熱門的搜尋為「什麼是藍籌股」、「什麼是CPI」、「如何炒股」、「如何購買基金」、「什麼是QFII」等等，凸顯大陸民眾對投資理財知識的渴望和缺乏
